A Heart for Moms

Years ago, Jill Savage, became a mom. A school teacher by vocation, she missed the ongoing education conferences popular among those in education. She wondered, “Why isn’t there a Mommy University?” So she and some friends pulled together a conference for mothers and Hearts at Home was born.  Hearts at Home is a multifaceted ministry to moms: an outreach bringing moms to Christ, an equipping powerhouse with books and blogs and conferences that draw well over 12,000+ mothers each year to one of their several conferences across the United States. (I have spoken at many of their conferences —check out this video of me speaking at one). The Hearts at Home conferences are the most well run, amazing events I have ever seen! They offer a plethora of workshops on everything a mother might need from cradle through college!

I have had the pleasure of co-authoring a book with founder Jill Savage (Got Teens?) and she is one of the most amazing leaders I know—and one of the most incredible and authentic moms. She is a wealth of wisdom, penning numerous books, including a few with her husband, Marc on marriage. If you are mother, check at Hearts at Home, come to an event, watch Jill on  Focus on the Family’s webcast, Your Family Live, and sign up for Jill’s blog. If you are a leader of women, consider launching a moms group at your church (Hearts at Home has a training manual on starting a moms group) and definitely plan on bringing a group of moms to the next Hearts at Home event!
